About

Old Laund Booth Parish Council covers the village of Fence in Pendle. It works with Pendle Borough Council and Lancashire County Council on behalf of local residents and has a separate precept for projects unique to the village, but not a statutory requirement of the county or borough councils, police or police commissioner.

On our website, you will find our meeting minutes. Parish council meetings are held in the village hall on the 1st Monday of every month commencing at 7pm
Members of the public are welcome to attend and ask to speak under Public Questions on matters of concern. This is at the discretion of the chairman as there is no legal right for the public to speak, only to observe. If more than one member of the public wishes to speak on the same topic, then a nominee will be chosen to speak on behalf of all to avoid duplication of points.

Each member of the public is entitled to 5 minutes to raise their concern.
Written statements must be received by the clerk at least 3 days prior to the meeting. Members of the public are asked to be respectful to councillors, who are also members of the community and are unpaid and to council officials.
