Old Laund Booth Parish Council

covering the village of Fence in Pendle

WELCOME TO THE OLD LAUND BOOTH PARISH COUNCIL WEBSITE

Old Laund Booth Parish Council covers the village of Fence in Pendle and works with Pendle Borough Council and Lancashire County Council on behalf of local residents.  Old Laund Booth has the power to raise money through council tax, this is called a Precept, and helps fund projects unique to the village.

Parish council meetings are held in the village hall on the 3rd Wednesday of every month commencing at 7pm (6.30pm in December). Members of the public are welcome to attend and ask to speak under Public Questions on matters of concern. This is at the discretion of the chairman as there is no legal right for the public to speak, only to observe. If more than one member of the public wishes to speak on the same topic, then a nominee will be chosen to speak on behalf of all to avoid duplication of points.

Each member of the public is entitled to 3 minutes to raise their concern.
Written statements must be received by the clerk at least 3 days prior to the meeting. Members of the public are asked to be respectful to councillors and each other and to observe the Public Participation at Parish Council Meetings
